2. Concurrent User
License (QFD_CU) - for networked
workgroups
These licenses (also known as "floating"),
are ideal for network installation
and team use. They greatly simplify
license management and software
accessibility. Each license provides
access to ANY single user from
your company at any one time
(like a single copy of a book
which can be checked out from
a library).
The software IS NOT
required to be licensed in
a person's
name but may be licensed
to a workgroup/team or other
IT
contact.
NOTE: If more than one user
at a time will need to run the
software, you will need one Concurrent-Use
license for each. Purchasing
multiple Concurrent-Use licenses
allows simultaneous access by
that corresponding number of
users.
• Need:
Employees Bob Smith, Carol Williams,
Mike Thomas and Fred
Peters need access to the software
for their product development
team but only three of the four
of them may use the software
at the same time. In addition,
other employees may also need
access to the software but again,
no more than three people will
run the software simultaneously.
• Solution:
Purchase three Concurrent-User
Licenses and install the software
on your network server. Any employee
may then run the software so
long as no more than three people
in total run it simultaneously
or "concurrently." As
a bonus, a **volume purchase
like this qualifies for a price
discount.
**Purchasing 3+ Concurrent licenses
qualifies for pricing discounts.
